On Saturday, May 30, join us for a Hawaiian Flower Crown workshop at Chaminade Resort & Spa. Create a beautiful fresh flower crown to take home using locally sourced plants and flowers. Just bring your Aloha, we will have everything else! This activity is part of Chaminade's Hawaiian Weekend celebration.


With deep roots in California, and inspired by the islands, Sangita has been leading lei making workshops since 2023, beginning under the mentorship of the late Kumu Lorraine Kaleiokalaua’e Kinnamon. At Chaminade, she will be guiding participants in creating flower crowns using a traditional Hawaiian technique with locally sourced flowers and plants. In Hawaiian, this is called "lei po'o wili" meaning a lei that you wear on your head created by wrapping or twisting. The intention of the workshop is to reconnect with old and new friends as we work with flowers in the spirit of Aloha. This workshop is open to everyone and requires no prior experience with lei making. All materials are provided.
